How I first got to know Captain Tsubasa?

I think I was about 8 or 9 years old when I had my first contact with Captain Tsubasa. My cousin was watching the cartoon and I just watched with him and liked it instantly. But that was just a tape and the cartoon was erased away accidentally. Since then, I did not see or heard of Captain Tsubasa anymore. It was not until when I was 14 when the comic was published. It was also my cousin who told me about it. I did not buy at first and borrowed the set of comics from my cousin and found out the comic is nice! I started to buy but started from mid-way. I did not have the complete set of the first set of Captain Tsubasa's comics until now.

It was the second set which is the "World Youth Version" that I started collecting and have the full set. I've just finished collecting the whole set.
